It’s Monday, the start of a new work week, the first full week of May. There so many festive events to attend this month, virtually or in-person (graduations, weddings, etc). Spring is tricky, some days are absolutely gorgeous others are soggy and chilly. Here are 5 must haves that will make the moment in almost any scenario. They also make for some pretty good gifts for the moms out there.
5 ITEMS TO TRANSFORM YOUR CLOSET
1.The WOW Factor Dress
Get the dress but choose a bold color, funky print and/or an oversized silhouette. It will take your look to a whole other level and will definitely transform your closet. My WOW factor dress is the Alia Maxi by Hanifa pictured below.

J. Bolin is also giving us some maxi magic with this plaid number, we see you LaToya Luckett.

2.The Trending Now Top
Nothing says spring like a playful, yet stylish crop top. My go to is this River Island show stopper. You can style her with high-wasted jeans, shorts, or your favorite maxi or midi skirt. The possibilities are endless. Here’s another another River Island top I’ve in my cart at this very moment.

3.The One Piece Wonder
I think we can all agree the jumpsuit, playsuit, romper or whatever the latest trendy name we’re giving the our one-piece wonders these days, it’s always a good idea until it’s time to go to the ladies room, am I right ladies??? Likewise, the idea of fully undressing every time nature calls neve dawns on us when we make this purchase but it will definitely transform your closet. It’s like pregnancy and child birth, God helps us conveniently forgot the pain and suffering we went through to achieve greatness on the off chance we want to do it more than once…lol I say all that to say get you jumpsuit this spring. I picked this one up at Anthropologie last summer and the slides at Dune London. You can find a suitable alternatives, here, here and here.
4.The Statement Slide
Summer slides are my go to, unfortunately these pom pom slides are pretty much sold out Dunn London but JW Anderson has been making waves with their amazing embellished slide. The Anderson slides are a bit pricey, here’s a more affordable option from Steve Madden (SM). SM never disappoints when it comes to an affordable dupe.

5. The Frames
Last but not least, nothing says spring like the perfect pair of sunglasses. Also, my aviators are always in heavy rotation but I’ve been know to switch it up a bit as shown below.
