So I’m sharing another maxi moment. This time around it’s the maxi skirt that’s giving me life. The skirt is a Chen Burkett original. Chen’s designs are often imitated but never duplicated. This particular print has been replicated by tons of online boutiques but I doubt any have ever come close to the quality and craftsmanship of her pieces. This skirt also has one of my favorite features, POCKETS!!! Pockets and a beautiful Ankara print, you really can’t ask for more. When the talented India Kea asked me to shoot with her I knew I had to incorporate this skirt into the look. Of course I’m rocking my Ocessories Warrior bracelets. The Lagos earrings are from Gifts from Virgo, we’re giving David Yurman vibes without the price tag; that’s called winning.

The other star of this fashion show is this River Island DOUBLE puff sleeve crop top. You guys know I love a dramatic top and this piece brings all the drama with the double puff sleeve. The top is on sale, SALE, so don’t over think this one, get it. Funny story, I ordered this top a size larger than what I actually am. I’m a size 4 I ordered a size 6. There’s a bit more room than I’d like but nothing a safety pin can’t fix. Buyer be ware, the sizes listed are for the UK be sure to look at the size conversion chart for the proper fit.
India wanted to shoot during the golden hour, by far it is one of the best times of the day to shoot. The sun is at the perfect spot in the sky, giving you the most majestic shades of golden light you can ask for, hence the golden hour. I love experimenting with light and angles and India is quite gifted in this area.
