Red Alert! Red Alert! It’s celebration season y ‘all. The galas, soirées, dinners, and fundraisers are abundant. And with this comes the dreaded question, what do I wear? Do I buy something new? Do I pull an oldie but goodie out of the closet? Maybe something vintage? The answer is yes, yes, yes, and yes!!! That’s exactly what I did with this look. You can rock this look at a Friends-giving event or your first dinner with HIS family. No matter where you decide to rock this, this look is pure FIRE!!! It just made sense for us to shoot at a fire house. I think we kinda nailed it…lol
Faux Fur Stole
Let’s get into this look. The stole is new, new. It’s a piece from Blair Eadie’s Atlantic Pacific x Halogen drop. The line is sold exclusively at Nordstrom’s. I picked up a few pieces from her drop last year. She did not disappoint with this year’s release. I wanted EVERYTHING from the line. I had to make hard choices guys. Do I get everything I want and we all eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the foreseeable future? Or do I pick out one or two pieces and be a responsible adult? I decided to be a responsible adult. I am not Cardi B. So I have to choose…lol
I have to say I choose an absolute winner. This faux fur stole feels like the real thing. I legit wanted to sleep in it. The skirt I picked up from Chicwish a long time ago. You can find something similar here. The sweater was a last minute find at Express. This sweater gave me the drama I was looking for. I love a dramatic top and the Juliet sleeves (long tight sleeve with a puff at the top) on this sweater gave me everything I was looking for. Don’t sleep on Express guys, you can find some real gems there.
The belt is a vintage piece.
I picked it up from a vendor at a blogger conference I attended. More Than Your Average by Mya Price is a vintage/thrift shop. I spotted the belt during the conference and snatched it up before anyone could grab it. It pulled the whole look together for me. THE BOOTS!!! These boots are a crowd pleaser non-stop compliments whenever I wear them. The boots are an oldie but goodie, also a Nordstrom find. At this point I think you’re sensing a trend with me, I love me some Nordstrom’s. Sadly the boots are no longer available but Steve Madden has really cute alternative here. Creating a chic look wasn’t that hard, now was it?! Make it easy on yourselves gang, mix some old pieces with some new pieces and you’ll be surprised what you’ll come with.
As we all know Turkey day is followed by the most important day of the year Black Friday. The sales will be epic! Stay tuned for my round up on party dresses and my guide to Black Friday shopping. I’m giving you guys all the goods this week!
Until next time…
