Hey gang! The mini-me and I snuck out of the house for a little social-distancing photo shoot so we could debut our prettiest Mommy & Me look yet. It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of Blair Eadie. She speaks to my soul with her bright, cheerful, yet ultra chic style. If high fashion and a rainbow had a baby, that’s Blair. I’m sporting a dress from her latest collaboration with Halogen X Atlantic- Pacific. Halogen is one of Nordstrom’s top selling ready to wear brands. It’s also become one of my favorite brands outside of it’s collaborations with Ms. Blair.
It’s all about the strips for me. Do I look like summer day walking or nah?! I think so. About the dress, it’s sheer and light-weight. The dress comes with a removeable slip, a sign of a pretty well thought out garment. I wore undergarments that were very close in color to the slip so it blended seamlessly. I’d advise you to wear nude undergarments with this one; better safe than sorry. This garment definitely has some room for growth; it’s very forgiving. The only con in my opinion is that the dress get a case of the wrinkles earlier on; which is true of most pieces made with organza. Not a real deterrent for me as they are hardly noticeable but if you are a neat freak it may bother you. Either way you’ve been advised.
I personally love a little extra drama so I paired the dress with a rhinestone belt and rhinestone embellished sandals. The belt is actually sold as a wedding dress accessory but I used it on this dress. You can totally live your whole fashion life without it, but I liked they way it looked, and how it made me feel; fancy. And that’s what it’s all about, feeling good in the skin your in.
The shoes are also pretty jazzy. They are by Steve Madden, Carrson. I own several pairs of this shoe because they are so versatile. You can dress them up or down. However this pair was intended for my cousin’s wedding that was rescheduled due to lady Rona. Let’s all let out a collective sigh on how Corona has flipped our 2020 plans upside down…Ok back to the fashion. Can we talk about how freggin cute Laila is in this Janie & Jack dress?!
Laila’s dress was also another Blair Eadie collaboration. One day when I grow up I want to be like her. The dress is actually a part of the Th!nk Pink Collection from Janie and Jack. Janie and Jack are giving $250,000 to Fab-U-Wish towards breast cancer research. 25% of the sales from the line will be donate to Fab-U-Wish as well. Contributing to a worthy cause through is my cup of tea.
This dress features feather fringes all over. It’s cute, comfortable, and most importantly it’s not itchy. Anyone who has children, especially girls, knows an itchy dress is a recipe for disaster; another well made garment. It’s machine washable, gentle cycle of course but as long as it doesn’t require dry cleaning it’s a winner in my book. I paired the dress with a pair of blush ballet flats I found on Amazon, you can find them here. If your not in the spirit of giving you grab this pretty pink dress for the little one and she’ll still be a show stopper. I also switched it up and put on my Angela Scott oxfords; they paired well with the whole ensemble.
